Meet the team

Tim  Tim: Owner of Scoopaway

After 21 years in Sales and Marketing within the Sports Trade working with the brands of Adidas, Reebok and Puma, I decided to take on a completely new challenge in retail and have owned the store with my wife, Sam since September 2006.

  Sam: Co-Owner of Scoopaway

When I get the opportunity I am often helping out in store, but my main priority is looking after our two daughters.

Kate  Kate: Store Manager and Registered Homeopath

I started working in Scoopaway as a manager in July 2009, after working previously as a manager of a cafe outside of Bristol. I have always been interested in healthfoods, and consequently worked in the medical industry for 6 years. After developing a chronic illness I left this career to study a degree course in Homeopathic medicine so could become a practitioner, after 5 years in practice I decided to close my clinics to work at the shop.

Laura: Retail Assistant and Nutritional Adviser

I moved to Bristol in March 2011 after nearly eight years of living in Australia and have worked at Scoopaway ever since. I really enjoy the Community spirit of Gloucester Road and surrounding areas. Nutrition and Natural Health have always been a passion of mine along with vegetarian cooking. I studied a nutrition course in Sydney and more recently have been attending courses on Herbal Medicine organised by two local Herbalists. This has been a fascinating personal journey and I feel that I have been able to apply my knowledge with assisting customers with Herbal Remedies and nutritional advice at Scoopaway. I also love the great outdoors and exploring nature, the odd session of yoga, listening to music and discovering the Bristol music scene.

NatalieNatalie: Retail Assistant

I started working in Scoopaway in February 2013 but have worked with wholefood, organic, fairtrade and ethical foods for over 9 years. Having campaigned against genetic modification of food and farming in the past, I understand just how vital it is to have access to good, natural food. I’m pleased to be working in such a fantastic and important shop on “the last great British high street”. The rest of the time you can find me occasionally performing physical theatre or more often dance of various styles having studied dance since I was a child. I also like the occasional jaunt away, self development, campaigning, music, circus, theatre, cats and chocolate!______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
